One of the most important aspects of being a pilot is taking responsibility for the condition of your aircraft. The phrase "AirSpeed Alive" is what a pilot states aloud to affirm the aircraft has reached the appropriate speed to take off and all instruments are functional. Immediately following "AirSpeed Alive" the pilot in command will pull back on the yoke and begin their climb to to exit the airfield. AIRSPEED ALIVE is a confirmation that the pilot performed their due diligence.
